IACSSW's Mission
Founded in 2025 by counselor educators, counselors, and counselors-in-training, IACSSW focuses on education, training, and research in sexual wellness as a core counseling competency. Our mission is to help counselors integrate sexual health into their work, recognize sexuality as central to human experience, and address barriers to healthy sexuality—especially for communities impacted by oppression and marginalization. As both an ICA division and a state chapter of the Association of Counseling Sexology and Sexual Wellness (ACSSW), we aim to build a strong professional network, promote best practices, and expand access to resources and training on sexuality and sexual wellness across the lifespan.
