The Social Justice & Advocacy Committee shall be responsible for monitoring all current events in legislature and related sexuality and sexual wellness that impacts the counseling profession and/or the rights of people served by the counseling profession.

Planned activities:

- Identify opportunities for advocacy on behalf of client populations

- Identify opportunities for legislative advocacy on behalf of the counseling profession

- Prepare statements in response to legislative events that adversely impact human rights in the areas of sexuality, bodily autonomy, and relationship diversity

- Plan IACSSW presence at annual Day On the Hill legislative event
