The BIPOC Committee is responsible for research, education and training related to sexuality and sexual wellness within the BIPOC community. Special attention will be given to challenging institutional oppression and ensuring IACSSW remains inclusive in its practices.

Planned activities include:

​

- Connect with community-based organizations to discuss opportunities for advocacy and education partnership

- Seek input and feedback from BIPOC counselors and counselor educators to identify barriers and opportunities related to IACSSW membership, events, and practices

- Partner with Education &  Training committee to develop learning content focused on decolonizing counseling practice, and the historic, structural, and systemic influences on BIPOC sexual wellness

- Identify outreach and collaboration opportunities with other ICA divisions
